Itinerary of things we wish to do while in Chi-City!

At this time, this is a TENTATIVE itinerary.  Regardless, the itinerary WILL include all of what's in the GETAWAY PACKAGE.  It will become more firm as the time nears once we know who all is going for sure and what time ALL will arrive at the hotel.   Even when the schedule is set - it can be changed at anytime per individual/group wishes with the exception of the Seadog Cruise.  The Seadog Cruise must be as is due to the reservation for a specific time. Consider this itinerary as a helpful tool for you to take advantage of what Chi-City has to offer you within a tight schedule.  You will find that it's a great tool to use and you will feel like you've accomplished a lot within a very short amount of time!  In addition, you'll master a week's worth of exercising!  Feel free to share suggestions in the chatterbox to help make the itinerary fulfilling for all of the gals!

6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.        Traveling . . . getting to the Girlfriends Getaway '11 at Hotel Monaco Chicago!
4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.        Meet up!  Greet and Hug in the Hotel Lobby! 
5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.        Dinner at the award-winning, gourmet Mexican restaurant Frontera Grill  - they take reservations 8 weeks in advance! 
                                       (15 minute walk to/from Hotel Monaco)
7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.      Stroll and Shop on the Magnificient Mile! 

Saturday, September 17th, 2011

7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.        Continental Breakfast in the South Water Kitchen or at e.Leaven Food Co.
                                       (15 minute walk from Hotel Monaco to e.Leaven, 16 minute walk from e.Leaven to Navy Pier)
9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m.       Stroll, Sightsee, Snack and Shop the Historic Navy Pier           
11:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.    Seadog Architectural Cruise & Tour
12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.      Lunch  - choose from variety of dining at the Navy Pier
                                       (13 minute walk from Navy Pier to Museum of Contemporary Art)
2:00  p.m. - 5:00 p.m.       Museum of Contemporary Art
                                       (6 minute walk from the Museum to Giordano's Pizza)
5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.        Dinner at Giordano's Pizza - supposedly the world's most famous stuffed pizza! It's a must when in Chicago!
                                       (35 minute walk from Giordano's to the Sear's Tower.  May consider using the Bus/Subway?)
8:00  p.m. - 10:00 p.m.     The Skydeck - Sunset View
                                       (20 minute walk back to the Hotel)

7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.        Continental Breakfast in the South Water Kitchen or at Heaven on Seven
                                        (6 minute walk from Hotel Monaco to Heaven on Seven, 10 minute walk from Heaven on Seven to Millenium Park )
8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.      Stroll thru Millenium Park
                                        (8 minute walk to the Park Cafe')
11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.      Farewell Lunch at the Park Cafe' by reservation
                                        (8 minute walk back to the Hotel Monaco)
1:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.        Get bags from Hotel Monaco, begin traveling back home - dreaming of the next Getaway!
