Going by the SKIES
Airplane (Southwest)
To maximize the time you have in Chicago - best option is to go by flight. Southwest tends to have the best rates! They offer some amazing deals - even as low as $39 dollars one way. So, check out their site regularly and snap up those deals when you see them and PLEASE share with all of us in the "Chatterbox!" page to let us know so we can grab them too!
Subway (from Airport to Hotel) $2.25 fare
- O'Hare Subway Blue "L" Line (43 min ride)
- get off at Clark/Lake Station
- Walk to Hotel (6 min walk)
- North on Clark
- East on Lake
- North on Wabash
Limousine (from Airport to Hotel)
This is truly a FUN way to get directly to your destination to/from the airport! You will feel like royalty! The maximum rate should all gals ride together would be $119 for a super stretch limo. Split that among 8, that's about $15 each! If any of you gals are game to be pampered this way - let's chat in the "Chatterbox" and figure out how to do this. Maybe will put in another "Buy Now" option on this page for reserving your limo ride and let the moderator make the reservations for you! FYI - the Hostess has used this company before in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale - Exemplary!
Going by the RAILS
Train (Amtrak)
If you don't like flying, taking the Amtrak is a wonderful way to travel! It is also quite affordable. Current going rate is $110 round trip. It does take about the same about of time as if you were driving yourself - as you will need to get to the station 30-45 minutes early before your departure. They have routes that get you to Chicago by 3:15 p.m. If you like this option, ask if another sister would want to join too! More fun to travel with a buddy!
Bus (from Amtrak to Hotel) $2.00 fare
- Union Station at 210 S. Canal
- Walk to Canal & Adams
(1 min) - Get on BUS 60 towards Randolph/Harbor Dr (11 mins)
- Get off at Washington & Wabash
- Walk North on Wabash (5 mins)
Going by the ROADS
Carpool
Can certainly get a group of sisters to carpool together. If you want to get to Chicago by 3 p.m., best to meet up by 6 a.m. and head out! Talk among the sisters to see if any want to do carpooling. It is the cheapest traveling option - as the cost of gas can be split by all who carpool. Although - the cost of gas is going up . . . so something to consider. Be sure to use the "Chatterbox" page to find out how everyone will travel and see if partnering up will work!
